Re: assistance on 457 visa

Hi grayling
thanks for that in the uk we survive on £15000 a year with a mortgage.
We are aware that it will bw hard and fingers crossed he can get a job but we are not expecting it as i said he has no qualifications and we are under the impression he will need them to be employed if this is wrong then that is good news for us and idealy that is what we want.

But basically what you are saying is we have no chance of having a reasonable lifestyle on my income.

Well thats something we will have to think about.

No...not saying that at all:)....I am saying it will be tight.

It depends on what your expectations are.

Rent can take a huge chunk of your income but, as a nurse, you may be able to 'salary sacrifice' some of your income for rent, car etc

Your partner getting a job may be the difference between having a reasonable lifestyle or struggling.

If you can survive on £15000 in the UK you may be OK but the big factor will be housing costs so look carefully

Good luck

G

PS you will find that shift allowances (especially weekends) will make a big difference to your final salary
