Ahh pft! I will just get one over there for that much. I have spent hte last 11/2 hours trying to find a cheap hotel in venice - impossible.. plus Mr JP is asleep and offering no advice at all. Should just book us in somewhere expensive.... he would prolly make us stay in tents! PFT!

I think this mainly Southern Italy, but theres a UK phone number on it which may be worth a try??

Re closing all UK bank accounts - keep one open that has an ATM card. That way any cheques that come in can be paid into it for you. Stuff like the refund of the phone line rental fm BT. Send the cheques to a friend in the UK to pay in for you, then you draw the cash out here.
