Default Argos in Oz

I don't know about anyone else but we tend to buy most household things from Argos. Has Oz got an equivalent?

Whats an op shop? We are in Melbourne and there is nothing like argos as far as I'm aware. We can buy most stuff fairly cheaply from target, k-mart and big w.

He's pulling your leg!! Op shops are second hand/thrift shops. Unfortunately so far we've not found an equivanlent. We were looking for an aussie video (to play the British tv through!) and it was a pain comparing prices from store to store. Went to Cash Converters in the end, and just bought a second hand one, bargain!! That's when Mr L missed his Argos catalogue.

The first time my Aussie husband went into Argos he wondered what type of shop he was in - he was like 'where's all the stuff'! He's now a convert and will miss it when he goes home!

I miss argos..........shopping takes so much longer. I seem to spend half my life wandering round KMart, I am sure the staff think I am some sort of weirdo.
