Default Area's around Dunedin

A while ago I posted about area's around Christchurch, but since then we've done more research and found Dunedin would suit us better and we have already been in touch with a gymnastic's club (for our daughter). The club is at Maori Hill, I think the area is north west of the City. We need to be within around 15 minutes drive of there, as rural as possible. Got any ideas?

Thanks for the map.

What are good areas and bad areas, what about the secondary schools?

you can use http://www.ero.govt.nz/ for school reviews.

by looking at the decile rating (1=poor area, 10=wealthy area) and the ethnic makeup of the school, you can get a good idea of an areas demographic.

just search for a suburb name

Hi Surfer, if you haven't noticed already then on that map you can select a photographic view, zoom in on houses etc, so this will help looking for rural..
Maori Hill, Roslyn are supposed to be good areas, Don posted awhile back that there aren't that many 'bad' areas as such..

From what I can make out anywhere around Dunedin is within 20 mins of anywhere else so you should be Ok.. anywhere...(badly worded but you get the point)...
