Default Apartment hotels in Brisbane

We're arriving in Brisbane in mid-Feb and we're looking for a hotel to stay in for a couple of weeks while we find a rental place. There's four of us so we were planning to stay in an apartment-hotel type place with two bedrooms.

Can anyone recommend somewhere? We've seen a place called Kangaroo Point apartments that looks promising - but any other suggestions would be gratefully received.

Cheers

We stayed here a couple of years ago and really liked it.

kirribilli apartments

Its a two minute walk to the nearest City Cat ferry jetty. Also there is a bowling club 5 minutes walk along the river bank that serves great food and you can sit right on the river bank while you eat. Kirribilli apartments are just downriver from the Story bridge.
They were a little on the pricey side but smart, and if you get an apartment on the river side the views are great too. There is a secure car park underneath the apartments. Didnt really take to the owner, not your typical friendly Aussie. More of you Capitalist Pig which would explain the pricing

If being a bit further out of the City is OK, then there are also some furnished houses available to new migrants for 1 week upwards.

For example: http://www.destinationbrisbane.com.au/

Medina Executive Brisbane, right next to the Story Bridge, is a very nice serviced apartment hotel. The kitchen is fully equipped. Rooms (including the kitchen) get cleaned daily. If you can, get a river-view apartment, it's amazing sitting on the balconey looking out. The current offer is $196/night for a 2-bedroom apartment.

My inlaws stayed there 1 1/2 years ago and would highly recommend it.

Cheers,
Mrs JTL

Try City Park Apartments in Spring Hill.
I stayed there 3 years ago for a couple of weeks.
Overlooking the city and very close to the aquatic centre.
Underground car park.
Nice landlord.
