Question Anyone waiting

Hi. Is anyone experiencing similar to us??
Had our medicals end of July and sent our police checks off at the same time.
Our agent has just emailed us today and said there are severe delays with the internal assessment, so we wont hear anything for at least another 4-6 weeks.
All we can assume is that there are masses of applications and we need to be patient and wait. (not easy)
Any comments from any of you experiencing similar would be good!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks J and J

Hi all, if you send a blank email to above address you will get an auto reply as to what dates are being looked at. Sorry, this is only any good if you are applying for a skilled visa, dont know about any other type. You will also need to know the acknowledgement date of your application. At the moment they are working on offshore priority (on modl) paper applications lodged between the 6-15 march 06. This info is updated every tuesday. Hope this all makes sense and helps. By the way this week is the first time the dates have moved forward for 5 weeks and thats only by 7 days :scared:
Our date is the 27th march so I have been watching this closely, ours is a 136 skilled independant on MODL and we are still waiting for a Case Officer. I rang Adelaide last week and was told about another 4 weeks b4 they get to us, so you lot must be soon.
Good luck with it all
Lesley

Hi Jackie,
What region are you? I am curious about your agent's comments. Are there severe delays across the board, all regions, all types of visas? Did your agent say why DIMA is experiencing delays?

Sorry for all these questions. We have been waiting already 2 months for DIMA to complete our internal/routine checks. Losing hope

Thanks, Aidan.

Hi We are from Somerset and used global visa's. Had our requested meds at the end of July, and thought we would hear something soon. Then our agent sent an email saying that it would be another 4-6 weeks before we would know anymore, as there were severe internal delays.
We are hoping to go to queensland. Have you had your meds/ police checks or are you waiting a case officer?
Good luck, keep us posted, J and J

Hi, we're with Golbal Visas too. Our assurer (138 visa) is having his interview next Tuesday - I was a bit surprised when the agent told me that we should get our visas about 2 months after that - looking at Austimeline it's usually a lot quicker. I suspected she was covering her back so she didn't get incessant 'any news' messages from us,but maybe that's due to the delays as well....

Hi J and J,
Yes, we have a CO and meds and police checks completed 4 or 5 months ago. We are now in our 10th month from application.

No indication of what the severe internal delays may be due to?

Thanks, Aidan.

I did medicals on 10th July and still waiting - Non MODL 136. Would be very interested to hear what the hold up is. Front loading now seems like it would have been a good idea!
