Planning to hit Perth early (first week or two in) December, staying in Duncraig for a bit first before finding our feet somewhere near the beach.
Although those plans are now looking pretty shaking, because (contrary to promised) my visa hasn't been issued by the end of October.

I have 9 days left at work, I can see why some firms just pay you your months money and then let you go, because all I have done for the last 2 weeks is think about leaving.

I have 9 working days left as well and I have had a 3 month notice period and I have spent most of it thinking about leaving.

If I had worked there for another month I too would have had to give 3 months notice. It was only after we had booked our flights that I found this out
so that was lucky as I don't think I could have faced 3 months. As it is I have already had to use up 6 days holiday as the maximum they will pay in lieu is 8 days and I had 14 days owing me and I am still bored senseless.

I only had to give 3 months because I got my visa 2 weeks after I completed my 6 month probationary period. The really annoying thing is that my visa was delayed by 1 month because it was lost in the post and my CO did not email my agent the approval.
