Default Anyone know Nerang?

Am desperately researching Nerang!

So far I've found the rentals affordable and 3 childcare facilities including one at the state school.

If anyone lives in or near the area please come on and tell me all about it LOL

Well, depends what you are looking for really

Do you want to go beach or hinterland. I like Varsity/Robina as these are good areas for schools shopping etc. However, depends on how much you are looking to spend. How much were the rents Nerang? I can have a look in the paper for you if you want for some comparisons.

Hiya Wattle...

I have lived in Robina for the past 10 months.. coming from the U.K... just got a job working in Nerang... its only about 10 mins down the motorway... its great!!! Robina/Varsity are nice places to live... I've just been looking into childcare as well... the best I could find at affordable rates is the Police Youth Club in Nerang... gonna put my 2 girls there at Easter time.. if I can get a place.. fingers crossed!! We went our house as well.. our rent is $295.00 per week... but you can get some lovely complexes for less... have you looked on the sequents site... at complexes.. wish we had gone into a complex now... might do when our lease is up in May... if I can help ya with anything else... let me know...

When researching Australian suburbs you would be wise to not just focus on the placename as this will give you the impression it is like an isolated town. Try to use the postcode if asked for, and then use others surrounding that number. Nerang is 4211, so research from 4210 to 4212,4213,4214 to get a better idea of what's to offer. You also have to get used to driving. You will soon consider a 20 minute drive for a single item pretty good. People drive a lot so you shouldn't see Nerang in of itself.

You should also remember this part of the coast is growing so fast that service availability will only get better. For example, there is a huge shopping mall planned for this area despite being 10-15 minutes from at least three huge centres.
