Anyone with insight into current state of 2nd hand car market?
I have a car on novated lease whihcis due to expire soon and must be one of the rare people looking at buying a new car.
However, I need to be able to sell my current vehicle (3 yr old, lowish Km, Rav 4) as I can't afford to run with two leases.
Does anyone have any insights into the prospects of selling that vehicle into the current market? I need to get at least $17k to avoid making a loss.

If you are on novated lease you can use the vehicle as a trade in for a new car.
It looks like Rav4 keeps the value well, at the moment 2005 models have a private price guide of $16,800 - $18,900 and 2006 models $28,300 - $31,100.
