We are also off to Adelaide (hopefully) as soon as visa through. Hubby is a nurse. We have two daughters - one 13 years and one 9 months. Not sure which area to live in yet as need to do a bit more research re schools etc Jo |

Roberta Hello Roberta, we're in Hamilton just south of Glasgow. No kids at all....which probably makes things easier for us on all counts. We're *hopefully* in the final stages of our application - medicals done and sent. How far into the process are you? What attracts you to Adelaide? We have always had our hearts set on Perth but the more we heard about Adelaide along the way we now want to go there. If we get the visa when we think we hope to be out there for maybe September 2005. Do you have any timescales? Good luck with the visa application! Michael |

I know what you mean about telling the kids!! Was dreading it, thought my daughter would be devastated (shes 20) but shes over the moon. Had medicals done on 15th nov, awaiting case officer so i can send them and police checks. Visa application was posted on 28th oct, so keep checking my emails every day to see if any contact from case officer. We choise Adelaide because we have friends who live there, they have been there for nearly 3 years, and love it. I have been state nominated by SA, which is a big bonus. We hope to go maybe end of Febuary. Getting the house into order at present to put on the market very soon. Keep in touch Roberta :) |
