We absolutely love it.........the summer months are FAB!!! theres only a couple weeks a year that you find it HHHOOOTTT!!!!! its amazing how you get used to it. Weekends we go for walks on the beach, loads of nature walks around too......take the kids for a family meal then on to live music at the pub...they are allowed in until 10pm which is fab...they love it. Go for drives...hubby a keen photographer so we are always off somewhere taking piccies. And then theres the bbq's by the pool with friends....and on the odd occassion when its tooo wet to go out we indulge in a movie day lol

Where are you living just now?

We spent a night in Gladstone a few years ago on a drive from Cairns to Sydney (we wanted to stay in Rockhampton but it was full up for "Beef Expo"). My memories of it include it being a very very heavily industrial port, a very nice Eagle Boys pizza and my wife locking the keys in the car boot.

There were some lovely towns in the area but I wouldn't live in Gladstone itself personally from what I saw of it.

Hi Carlos,
well we actually live and work in the Gladstone area, well I work in Gladstone and live in Boyne, We love it here and have been here for almost a year now. We do have a quiet life which includes lots of walks and bike rides we spend lots of time at the beach and generally enjoy the simpler things in life. It did take a bit of getting used to, remembering most shops close at about 3 on a Saturday and almost all of them are closed on a Sunday, Its not the end of the world it just leaves you more time to spend with your loved ones doing the things you enjoy
