Anyone getting a house built for them in Perth or Brisbane?
Good Morning,
We are off to Perth and Brisbane for our rekkie during the easter holidays so we are putting together a list of suberbs we are going to visit. We are leaning towards Perth at the moment but so many people say great things about Brisbane that we thought we better check it out.
Here is my question......we will hopefully be buying a 4x1/2 in the Northern suberbs of Perth (not sure about Brisbane) if we head that way but we still would love to actually have a house built for us.
Nothing too fancy, just a 4x2 bungalow, very open plan to our own taste, with a large garden and pool.
Has anyone done this, doing this or also looking into it.
Wondered if anyone had anyone they would recommend/websites or had any idea about the costs involved.
Thank you all, hope all your plans are going well.
Michelle

We have had 3 houses built since we have been here, all in the northern subs
1 - Ross North
1 - Home Start
1 - Victorian Colonial
All of which we had no probs with, re costs involved that depends on house, land etc etc

Hi,
We live in the country east of Perth and are having a house built similar to what you would like, so far going well. Every Sunday in the West Australian newspaper, they have a "Home " magazine supplement that all the building companies advertise in with prices and sizes and floor plans, so make sure you pick one up, its web site is homesite.com.au
some of the builders web sites are, www.skylinehomes.net.au www.affordableliving.com.au www.summithomesgroup.com.au www.ultimatehomes.com.au
The prices they give are generally to build near the city, and a block could cost anything from $100,000 - $250,000 depending on size and location,
Good luck with your reckie, we prefer the northern suburbs and beaches or Perth
