Is there anyone here who lives in Dromana? We're considering buying a house there but we're a bit concerned about the Hillview Quarry there.The house we've seen is on Somerset Drive and we've been told that the trucks don't use the road at the back too much but go down Boundary Rd instead but on Google Earth there doesn't seem to be a road to get to Boundary Rd!
I'm hoping one of you lives there and knows what effect living near the quarry would have?!

Hi there

We live about 15 minutes from Dromana so cannot comment about the specific road or quarry but see you are in WA, if you've only seen the house on the internet we 're more than happy to go and have a look around the immediate area and ask about the quarry. We looked at a house with a quarry nearby here in Vic. Have to say the lorries didn't seem to care too much speed wise about the fact it was a semi-residential area which put us off, we also were concerned about the noise. Anyhow if we can help let us know.

I only live a few Ks away and work in that area quite a bit, well this morning for that matter, and I have never been aware that there was a quarry in the area. I have never noticed any trucks etc so it can't be that bad.

Dromana can get really busy during the Summer as everybody camps on the foreshore.

Hi,
Yes we've only seen this house in the internet but it seems like quite a good buy,keen vendors and seems like a lot of house for the money they are asking.If you could find out what anyone living there says about the quarry and the trucks we would be extremely grateful!
We're going over to Melbourne for a week in July but are not sure whether the house will be sold before then and it could be too good to leave.
