Default Anybody with contacts in Perth for work?

Hi,

My son and his mates have been in Perth since Febuary 11th and cannot fid any work at all. Anyone on here who can point them in the right direction? My son done 1 weeks work Tarmacing for 12 hours a day in the 35+ temp however the guys running the job, just disappeared over night for some reason. He is ringing job vacancies every day only to be told that the jobs are gone ( I have my own thoughts on why this should be the case - in fact he has even had the phone put down on him!)

Anyway, any help appreciated. As things stand he may have to come back to the U.K at this rate. *************
Regards - JB

I just walked by City Beach (surfyshop sells Billabong, Roxy etc) in Lakeside, Joondalup and they had a big "help wanted" sign outside.

Due to the commodities and economic downturn Perth has been hit harder than the other Aussie capitals, so it might be hard to find work...

Things are tough in Perth right now and they have been for over 6 months.

If he's on the WHV then just apply for bar/cafe work pays still good in Australia.

Go into 30 bars in one day and you'll get something!

Just walked past Brumby's bakery in the little arcade off Oxford St in Leederville and they've got a "help wanted" sign outside too.

Guess the work's out there if you look for it and don't mind earning minimum wage!

Doesnt he want to move to some other state where things are not so bad.
Latest global economic data indicates the USA is coming out of the woods, which means china is not very far behind. Be assured soon as china pick up WA will boom again but not before mid 2010. Just hang on for a while.
