We are thinking about a move locally and have been looking at quotes. We've tried grace and Wridgeways but they are very pricey .... just wondered if anyone could recommend smaller companies who may be more reasonable? Unfortunately we can't gather together enough burly mates to help us do it ourselves! Here's hoping it won't be too pricey ...

Try Chess Moving http://www.chessmoving.com.au/Moving...lia/index.html

We use them for destination services for our customers moving to Brisbane and I know they provide local moving services too.

I doubt they are at the cheap end but I find Movers Online fantastic. Used them twice in the last year.

I guess you know about http://www.minimovers.com.au/ ? Never used so not sure what they are like. Mixed reviews I think.

Also http://www.twomen.com.au/

One tip is to go into your local http://www.kss.com.au/ or equivalent and ask the people there - they have a bunch of local removalist business cards but also ask them personally who they would use. The storage people usually know the good local removalist businesses

We have used Mini Movers for our last 2 moves (between suburbs in Brisbane) and have had no problems. I would use them again for our next move.

We also used mini movers and they were excellent. Time is $, so get as much packed beforehand and help load!
