not me personally, but know of a nurse who is heading to portarlington in the next 4 or 5 months.

Which part have you decided to settle in?

Have to admit the surf coast - not really Geelong I know - was to our liking.

Would be interested to hear about the housing market - are you renting or have you bought?

We are in Geelong as we feel the Surf Coast is a bit less convenient for us. We spend most weekends down there though. We are near the town centre and are renting at the moment. I am not sure we will be able to afford a house where we want to live though when the time comes. Prices have risen as I think more people move out from Melbourne.

Just be aware that the Surf Coast has also seen an enormous rise in house prices recently as it becomes more popular.

We absolutely love it here though and have no plans to move!
