Default Any Newbies Arrived in Mel?

I arrived in Melbourne about 2 weeks ago. We are currently renting in Sandringham - hubby has been transferred to Melbourne through work. I am expecting our first child - due in June. Was just wondering if there were any other newbies in the area?

Not sure about newbies, plenty of us oldies though. Check the Britvics site for Melbourne locals Louise.

Oh, thanks Bordy - I'm just finding my way around this site so had not come across that area yet!

Hi Louise

We've been here 6 months this week - so still count as 'newbies', I guess!

Welcome to Melbourne, & I hope you, hubby & the prototype little 'un will be very happy here.

There's a very friendly bunch of Expats here & we have regular meet-ups. If you fancy a night out (at your stage of pregnancy, probably more 'if you have the energy' for one!), we have a Melbourne Expat Women's drinking club girls night out on Fri 18 Feb, meeting in the CBD. There's no compulsion to drink lots of booze & get blind drunk Feel free to pop along for a while for a chat & to meet us all if you like, & we won't mind if you want to leave early & get some kip in! If you want details, PM me.

Cheers,
Anya.

Hi Louise

I moved to Mentone (just down the road from you) in November. If you fancy meeting for coffee and a chat send me a pm (private message). My husband is back in Uk until next month so am not working much at present and the kids are at school all day.

Hi Louise, I arrived in Melbourne nearly a month ago. Living in Williamstown, and working in Hoppers Crossing as a nurse - started today! - my husband is still in UK, but will be here very soon, just got a couple of things to wrap up (house sale)

Hope you are ok, and settle down well - it's lovely don't you think. PM me if you want my number/help.

Just heard yesterday that about 30 families from Kilmarnock in Scotland are heading out to Melbourne. Not sure when they arrive but I think they are all coming from the one company
