Any Melbourne based IT guys here?
Hi,
I'm considering a move from the UK to Australia. My wife + I did a round the world trip around 5 years ago and got working holiday visas, but no one would touch us for skilled work, so we ended up just moving on.
I'm finding it really difficult to get ballpark rates for the work I do - I'm an Infrastructure Architect (worked for IBM, Netscape, Yahoo, Logica).
I currently work freelance in the UK on a contract basis, but there doesn't appear to be a first timers guide. I presume that there's a similar set up in Australia?
