Building in Riddells Creek. I'm not sure where I will be working yet, am hoping to start a training course next month in the city which will be finished by the end of the year. I'm sure I will end up commuting into the city for work, my boyfriend is lucky he runs 2 online businesses from home so no commuting for him

Is lucky too, he has only just got his car back after hitting a roo on Xmas Day heading back into the city following Christmas Dinner with his parents

Ahh thats not too far then, you should be able to get in to the city in less than an hour from that side. A very nice area I must say, Plenty of roos around, you'll have to get one of those roo whistle "ultra sonic" things for the car.

Best of luck with everything, and enjoy the local wineries. The Hanging rock one is a must visit.

Lots of us here in Melbourne - I am in Mentone and been here for 7 months - get into the City reasonably often, especially if for a drink !!

Did I see something recently about organising a meet at the Picnic at Hanging Rock event at the end of this month?

We had an unpleasant experience at Hanging Rock a few years ago, the machine that you have to get a token from to get out was broken! Its a stupid place, if the shop is closed you can't get out until the ranger comes to lock the place up in the evenings. Luckily we weren't the only ones stuck, it was rather boring tho :P

I'm in Scotland now but we're moving back to Melbourne sometime. I come from Williamstown which as you know isn't too far from Newport. We have a place in Williamstown (on The Strand) and go back each year. Further co-incidence, we used to have a block of land at Mt Macedon (Ryans Parade) and my parents had one too (Ferrier St). At one stage we were going to build up there but we moved with our jobs to Bendigo and then to Scotland (my wife is Scottish) and so we sold the land.
