Re: Any Brits in Carnegie area???
Hi,
We are currently staying with family in Carnegie but do not think we will be buying in the area as the house prices seem to have boomed!!
Our son has just started at St. Patricks primary school so we really need to find a suitable house in the surounding area.
Any idea's...?
Are you living in Carnegie yourself?

I have not really looked for anything yet as we also have an 8 month old baby but my husband started work a week after we arrived.
Think I will look after Christmas.
Have you been in Bentleigh long?
Any kids?

No kids . We are both in our late twentys and we've been in Bentleigh for 9 months, we only have a 2 bedroom appartment but it will do us for a while, it's location is great though.

He is a painter & decorator and looks as though he can pick and choose who he wants to work for.
As with in the UK ,there seems to be a shortage of tradesmen.
Yourselves , what do you do?
Have you both got jobs?

Re: Any Brits in Carnegie area???
We have been wanting to move out here for a few years but a couple of kids put our plans on hold for several years....
My brother has been here for 10 yrs. You, what made you move?
Hi Geelong Gent,
We re looking for 2- 3 bedroom house to rent, price dependant and when available.
Our furniture does not arive from UK until beginning of December.
Also garden would be good for kids to play in. All info; greatly appreciated.

I travelled about Australia for a few months about 5 years ago and loved it and wanted to move out. So we've been here for about 18 months.
