Default Another question...

Once we've loaded all our possesions into the old steel container how long does it take to get to NZ...? weeks, months.

Ours took 8-9 weeks

Price wise they were all about £500 within each other. As for delivery times they all quote about the same but can't say wether the others deliver. We used PSS who quoted 8-10 weeks.

I'm afraid to ask but how much did it cost..? did you have a 20 or 40ft container or did you pay per Cu ft...?

It took us 3 month to Perth, that's because we had a shared container.

If you have one all to yourself it should take much less.

There was an article on this forum (i think) a few weeks ago about the same subject. If my memory serves me right it said that the movers were fairly powerless when it comes to moving your stuff as the shipping company dictates what goes on their ships. This is what slows down or speeds up the delivery of the containers to Oz. Ours went last week and from the removers (Crown, who were brilliant) we have been given a date of 14 Nov for the container to land in Brisbane. We will have to wait and see John and Sandra.
