Anyone know where i can get a list of the animals allowed to be taken to australia from uk?

I don't think there's an actual list, but I'm quite sure you can only import dogs and cats into Australia.
More info on www.aqis.gov.au (be warned, it's a very 'difficult' site, bit hard to find what you want etc).

And for example rabbits, you can only import ones for commercial use I think.

Dogs, cats and horses in the main. Things like tortoises and other reptiles are a no-no. You can bring in castrated hamsters for laboratory purposes if you like. ;)

You can't get Hammy hamsters for the kids here :( we had to get guinea pigs instead but they are still lovely :)
