Hi, were taking our dog and it's going to cost about £3,500 roughly. Not sure how much it is to take cats.Dogs have got to be in quarantine for 30 days in oz.Haven'theard of any major problems with pets travelling.

Do a search on the forum and you will find LOTS of posts on this subject.

We took our Doberman and it cost £3500 including everything from the trip, quarantine costs this end, shipping from Sydney to Brisbane etc.

As to the time scale there is a 30 day quarantine in Oz for the dog. Add to that the couple of days for the trip and you end up not seeing them for about 35 days. Make sure your vet is aware that you are taking them well in advance since they cannot have a Lepto jab within 6 months of leaving as it will show up on the blood test.

We used www.airpets.co.uk and they are fantastic for shipping and will give you a quote and send you information on what you need to do and when etc. Highly recommend them.
