Use Booko for finding best price. BD usually wins.

I was at a meeting at school recently and this horrible in your face woman turned up and took over by telling us we all had to sign her petition to keep books being bought by domestic publishers. I jumped on her (nearly literally) and told her that by doing that she may be saving someone's job but that she was actually attempting to stop the general public from reading because of the ridiculous cost of books here.

She tried to argue and shoved the petition under my nose. I managed to stop myself from ripping the thing up and throwing it in her face

hmmm..a mixed bag! A quick sample of some of the books I buy found some were more expensive here (on Book Depository) even with free postage, others weren't, taking in to account FX rates now. I realise there's been some movement recently.

It is annoying waiting several weeks for Amazon - I can never really justify the fast delivery option. So I choose to wait - and by the time it arrives I have forgotten about it and it's like an unexpected present..
