Having a nurse for a spouse and posting our app in October means that for the last 4 weeks we've been almost kidnapping the postman to make him give us our visas. Obviously this level of expectation can't be maintained for too long so for a change of tac I emailed DIMIA and got the following response from our CO.

A fantastic response I thought. It's not really a "you've got it", but certainly not a "you're not getting it" so it has the effect of raising up our excited demeaners even more. I've refused to commit to any further planning up until I got our visas but this has kicked me up a gear. Fun!
