it is pretty interesting how a market force can directly impact results.
Of course this is only one opinion but people are always saying that they think UK system is far superior to that in Australia.

You have to remember that the Evening Standard is the full sister to the Daily Mail

It would appear that standards in punctuation, grammar and spelling are pretty low everywhere.

Lightbulb Re: For all those who think UK education is better

Having married an English high school teacher with >10 years' experience, and having heard her endless horror stories over the past 7 years, I have no illusions about the quality of the English education system.

Interestingly, when we visited Edinburgh in 2007 the owners of the B&B we were staying at informed us they had moved up from England because the Scottish education system is superior. Apparently this is common knowledge.

Oh, I'm not interested in arguing. Or hearsay, for that matter.

er : One examiner at EdExcel laughed that its GCSE was so content-free she couldn't believe it had been passed by the regulators.

If it is so easy to pass an exam, it does not speak volumes for the underlying course content. Surely if the quality of education was so high, why would 'easy' exams be needed.

Can I have a large vegetarian deep pan with no olives please?
