all systems go
Packers arrive tomorrow, container leaves with all my worldy goods (well the ones worth having) on Thursday. Nerves starting to get the better of the whole family. Kids had a leaving party for all their mates on Saturday, I'm glad we didn't have a leaving party for the relatives, it would be far too emotional. Our 11 year old daughter has hardly stopped crying since, 7 year old son is a bit bewildered by it all. Husband constantly in deep thought (makes a change!!!!!) and Im running round like a headless chook. I thought waiting for the visa approval was stressful, but waiting to go once the flights are booked is a million times worse.
I wonder if we'll calm down once we're on the plane, I certainly hope so or by the time we reach Oz we'll all be gibering recks.

Wow
My god - it sounds stressful but it must be easier once you get on the plane ????
Have you sold you house in the UK?
Do you have jobs to go to - if so doing what ?
Where will you be?
Have you got schools sorted ?
Knowing what I am like I'm not sure I could see this thing all the way through.................I can't see me risking everything with no job to go to and as much as I want to go and don't like the UK I am fortunate to have a well paid job here.
cripes..............someone throw me the rose coloured specs........

we've haven't got jobs or schools because we don't know where we'll live except for somewhere in Queensland. We've an Aunt in Brisbane who'll put us up (or put up with us!) for a while until we find a rental, so once we decide where we will live then the rest should follow.
At least in all this uncertainty good old Aunt will meet us at the airport and we'll have a few hours to think before the new life starts in earnest.

Me on the other hand worry about just about everything - trying to ensure essentials are sorted out before we get there may just make the whole thing a disaster in itself!
A balance somewhere in between is needed.
