Default Airport pick up Melbourne

Can anyone recommend a company for the pick up at Tullamarine?
It has to be a big bus for 5 plus suitcases etc.
Also what do I book in terms of car seats for 9,7,5 year old?

Thanks

In my previous life as a member of the corporate world, we used these guys for airport transfers. They were quite good and not much more expensive than a taxi. Not sure about car seats with them but you would really only need a booster for the 5-year-old. Taxis in Victoria are exempt from the child restraint requirement but not sure if that applies to chauffeured cars. Best send them an email and ask.

You could also try the normal taxi rank as the attendant will call a large van for you when you show up... Just no guarantee of how long it'll take to arrive

I've used them and they are indeed OK - however you kind of need a mobile phone with you in case they haven't turned up or you can't find them. Last time they had my return flight on the wrong day, so I had to phone them up and moan.

You might also check out the firms local to you, they could be cheaper.

Where did you end up booking for short term initial accommodation? A lot of short term accommodation providers offer free airport pick up if you book 4 weeks. We do this, unfortunately we don't have the room for a family of 5 in our apartment!

As far as the car seats go, the 7 and 9 year old can legally travel without one, so you'd just need a booster for the 5 year old.

Hi, still not booked yet. Dont have flights as have held up visa application by renewing all the passports! 3 only had a year on them so seemed sensible but am still looking at arriving first week June. Visa should be in monday.

Sure you cant squeeze us in? Actually the short term is stressing me a little as its so expensive for 5 within the companies budget, so we may have less weeks but am actively studying the rental market! So looking to do maybe 3 weeks short term then camp in a rental until the container arrives!!

We are currently at the really excited stage, lots of great comments from people about what an adventure, good for you which is lovely.

By booster, do you mean just the cushion type to sit on not the full buckles type seat?

This page on the VicRoads website is the starting point for what's required in Victoria with children and seats/boosters etc.
