Fly Virgin Atlantic via Hong Kong. You can get a total of 230 kg (ie 10 bags) by paying £288 extra for each passenger. This is the only airline that offers this. You must buy the extra allowance 24 hours before when you check-in on line or you have to pay up to £90 for extra bags at the airport. Bag can weigh 23 kg each and you can take an extra 9 bags in addition to the one free one. A family of 4 then could take nearly a ton of baggage- best way to ship. See http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb...gage/extra.jsp

Dont know about Adelaide , but Emirates is great for ease of travel - twin seats
right at the very back of the plane give heaps of leg room ( I,m 6.3 )
Flight times 6.5hrs Glasgow to Dubai then 10 hrs to Perth (wind being favourable.
Cathy is a lot longer in the air , 12-13 hrs to Honkers

For some one not fond of long flights every hr less is a bonus.....

we're going back with Singapore, been with them a fair few times and just cannot fault them.

Etihad has come a close second, with Emirates a now very distant third.

Have also found the Zugu website great for finding great flights deals, then calling the Flight Centre who then beat it... win - win!

if you're looking for a good deal, try calling dial-a-flight.

We flew last year with Etihad and they were great. We've flown before with Malaysia Airways and they were good too.
