I realise not many people on at the moment so may 'bump' this after Christmas - any recommendations for suppliers of reverse cycle air conditioning for a 5x2 house in Hocking, Perth.

Can't help you directly ( I live in a rental and use fans) BUT if you can wait until june, july, august and you will save big $$$ buying then. You can grab a couple of good sized fans to cover you this summer, for like $20 or less each at supermarkets and places like Bunnings or wa salvage.
But you cant beat proper refridgerated .

We used Ford & Doonan. At this time of year it takes a while to get an appointment with them or any other company. There are others like Needham who seemed OK. I would personally go for a company with a good presence to ensure you can get good and reliable maintenance for the years after installation.
