Good luck HB, let us know how you get on. I'd just come back from a career break myself when we applied, it's frustrating having to wait!

Just to let anyone know who may be in similar position - re. the last few posts, ANC say that the return to practice course negates having had to practice in the last 5 years (as that is why I am doing it after all) so wont have to provide last 5 yrs references and can apply any time after the course to have skills assessed and to register with the state. Assessment valid for 2 years so if we were going for skilled independent I'd still need to work 12 months I guess, but I'm hoping via the LA I will be able to apply much sooner. Fingers crossed.:)
The ANC were very prompt and helpful with their emails:)

Cheers guys. HB

Great news HugoB, good luck!
You need quite a bit of bumph for your skills assessment, I'd start requesting it if you pushing ahead with the application, the NMC aren't quick with their bits!
