Hi there,
am not living down there, but I can honestly say that I haven´t experienced racism at all up here (living in NQLD, am german). There are a lot of mixed marriages, don´t think it´s a problem.
You have your visa yet?

I'm a born brit (indian roots) and lived in Adelaide for 1 year.
I never experienced any racism...only intrigue form the locals who were only to keen to be nice to someone who was from far away.

It was 10 years ago when I was 21. I found it really laid back.
When I started work at Arnotts biscuit factory, I had no end of offers from people: "Have u got somewhere to stay?" "Do u need any furniture?" etc
Everyone was so friendly that I was honestly paranoid for the first 6 weeks.
