Default After Work Social Club

Hi All

I have found the "After Work Social Club" based in the Sydney CBD. It looks a bit,, well make your own mind up but with Quote: "Among the highlights have been formal balls, fancy dress parties, the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb, wine tasting in the Hunter Valley and Mudgee" and "city drinks nights in upmarket hotels".

Now the wine tasting I could get in on but gala formal balls and city drinks nights.. Well I am not sure so I though I would enquire and ask if anyone else has attended a night or even joined up?

Many Thanks

Alex

It sounds like a load of champagne charlies getting a bit above themselves to me...but then again I can be a bit socialist at times!!
AS Mark said, thursday nigth CBD drinks with expats (for that read relatively normal people) will get you into a good crowd whilst at the same time exploring the differing hostelries within the CBD...and there are lots!

Yeah I walked past and had a sneaky peek and its the "I am stunning, stylish and f-ing amazing at my job, just ask me how good I f-ing am" the type that is about 30sec from a stamping feet child like while screaming "look at me, look at me I made all this effort and bought all these designer cloths" brigade.

When I first got here, I went and had a sneaky peak at the thursday CBD group from this board. They looked like a bunch of drunken reprobates with the dress sense of a group of animals.

So I joined them
