Default AFL rules
We have just bought the tickets for an AFL game on 9th July at SCG (Swan v Geelong). Its more out of curiosity than anything else that we decided that we'll go for an AFL. Can anyone summarise the AFL rules for us please and also how the teams can score points? AFL official site unfortunately doesnt have any information for a starter!! Anybody's aware of any site which might explain the rules?
BTW, whats AFL tipping?

Been here two and a half years and i'm still clueless. i did notice one of those blah blah for dummies books on it the other day in borders though. you know the big yellow ones, they have them for many topics.....

You can read the rules at this site. AFL Tipping is just a comp with people trying to tip the winners every week.
