AFL final tickets?
Hi
Gonna be in Melbourne in September the night of the AFL final, the 28th or the 29th I think?
Does anyone know how one would get tickets for this and are they easy to come by? I wouldn't imagine they are very easy.
Is there anAustralian ticketmaster or something similar or would all the tickets go to the two clubs involved?
I do realise how big this game is!! Just asking!
Cheers guys.

Simple breakdown of rules and history, especially the part where, in the early days, the field was approximately 4 times the size of the current MCG, with 40 a-side..

Re: AFL final tickets?
Probably your only chance would be a 'package tour' which includes tickets and accommodation. Very costly though

Re: AFL final tickets?
OK so a team from somewhere near Melbourne and a team from Tassie You're right though, there seems to be a lot more chance this year of an all Melbourne GF that any of the past 8 years.
The wheels fell off a little bit yesterday though - the scoreboard probably flattered us too. Home to Adelaide next week will be very interesting .... There's still a long way to go of course but yesterday proved we can't play without Bradshaw. Anybody got any calf's blood going spare?

Has anyone else noticed how the scores have been low this season?
For the GF.....Geelong (again) and Hawthorn ...although I am a one-eyed Crows supporter

Re: AFL final tickets?
As for lower scoring games, I know it does seem that way so far doesn't it? You caught my curiosity with that so I did a bit of maths and you might be surprised ......
Last year saw a total of 33645 points scored, for an average of 191 per game.
This year has so far seen a total of 18406 points scored (before the Geelong v Port game today) for an average of 197 per game.
