Default Advice Please - Initial Entry Date

Hi all,

Any advice much appreciated.....

I recently posted my spouse visa application (without front-loading of medicals) and have been asked to supply medical information within 28 days. Most things I've read on here suggest that requests for information normally include a timeframe of approx. 70 days......

Might this request for such a quick return of Medical Information suggest that - when the visa is granted - I'm asked to enter Australia for validation earlier than I might expect??

My police check was sent with the Visa Application and that's valid until September next year...........but are there any circumstances when I may be asked to enter Australia for validation MUCH EARLIER than the expiration of either the Police Check or Medical Information???

Has anyone any experience of being asked to validate their visa really quickly??

Ta.

Hi
Normally you are only asked to validate the visa within 6 months if there is a health issue. If there is no health issues it will be the normal year from the date of your pcc's or health check's

Hello again,
It may be nothing, stop worrying!!!!! (only joking)
From the information I've read they actually like medicals and police checks to be frontloaded for spouse visa's. So that may be why they have given you a shorter time frame.
I had also read that they sometimes only give you 6 months to validate too, but did'nt realise it was down to health issues.
Have you booked your medicals? I'm going this week!!!! C x

Shiels,

hi again.

Yeah booked them today...only got the e-mail request yesterday but can't get an appointment until 14th Nov...(only 1 panel doc in the county.....). I've made the booking and e-mailed the CO to ask if it'll be a problem if the results etc., are a day or so late (! - PANIC).....if it'll be a problem I'll venture out of county to get a quicker medical.

Not too worried...but hope that I get a response from CO saying 'Don't worry about it...."

Dont mean to worry you but I have information back from the centre where we are having our medicals, Birmingham, and is says in there

'Please note that it will take 14 DAYS from the day of your medical examination to process the paperwork'

I believe that they forward the completed forms onto London, you don't get to see the results......

Have you printed and completed the forms ready? C x

Thanks (!)...

Spoke to the Doc today and he's said he's not had blood tests taking more than 5 days (unless there's a significant problem...and lets face it, the Aussie stuff goes out the window for a while if there is a significant health problem).

Basically....(the boring bit)......x-rays and meds on 14th Nov.....expect bloods back within 5 working days....that's the 21st Nov....sent straight to london and due to arrive in London 22nd Nov....thats 28 DAYS EXACTLY....cutting it a bit close I know. If the CO doesn't write tomorrow saying it's OK, I'll look elsewhere for a quick appointment I think.....

Anyone else any advice on this I wonder..............
