Hello my husband, 2 children and Mother-in-law and we wish to apply to emigrate to Australia. My Mother-in-law was a resident in oz for 10 years and my husband about 18 months. My husband has a brother and sister currently living out there who would be willing to sponsor us. Does anyone have any advice or can recommend a Consultant that we could use, or has anyone been in our situation and applied themselves? Any feedback would be most welcome. Many thanks.

Hi Jane,
I haven't anything like the expertise of many of the posters here but there are a lot of questions that would have to be answered before anyone could give you a reliable answer - your ages, what was the immigration status of you husband and MiL when they were over there, how long ago were they over there etc.
It may well be worth speaking to an expert - remember you don't have to take the whole package, most consultants will do a single consultation for a small fee (or sometimes nothing at all).
I've no personal experience but Alan Collett at GoMatilda is a regular and very much respected contributor to this forum. I've never heard a bad word said against him (that can be quite a recommendation in itself here).
Good luck and let us know how it goes
Perry

Hello Perry
Thanks very much for your useful comments. I agree we need some questions answered before applying and will take you up on your advice and look at the GoMatilda website.
Thanks again and kind regards
Jane
