Question Advice on OZ neighbors!

Hi folks,
I've got to leave OZ for several days to get my new visa.
What's my best choice in terms of cost and proximity?

Thanks,

I had to leave to get a new visa a few years ago ended up flying to Melbourne and to Auckland for a few weeks, but from what I remember it wasn't cheap.

East Timor may also be possible (for similar reasons )

There was an article in a 'major' newspaper in the UK that referred to Tasmania as "an island off of the coast of Australia" ... well, it made me laugh anyway ...

As did the fact they left Tassie (Tassy?) off the symbolic map when they did the Commonwealth Games ceremony in 1982.

But then again they also chopped the 'Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport' verse containing the words 'Let Me Abos Go Loose' at the games too ... which is less funny but still an interesting factoid.

Cheers

Not for a few years now. At least for immigration interview purposes anyway ...

I still like The Floyd though AND I have a better appreciation of a decent bass-line ... I'm fuelled by numerous grades of alcohol tonight, the most recent being XXXX Heavy.

The joys of being a parent with the night off ...
