Advice for a new starter
I want to go to Australia to live/work for a while, probably not to live forever (a couple of years would be good, I think I'll try Canada after that). I have not got the first clue where to start but this seems like my best bet. I could spend hours trawling through countless webpages but I think you lot will be able to help me better than anyone else.
I am 24. I have a degree (Business Computing) and am studying for an LLM in ICT Law (Distance learning, so I can continue regardless of where in the world I am). The IT contract I have been working on for the last year draws to a close in December. I am looking to move out of the country mid-late 2003 if possible. My girlfriend, 26, works in a administrative position (Last 4 years). She has a degree (Psychology) and is studying for a postgrad in HR Management. This will be completed by the time we are looking to move.
I need info on the process of application, costs of moving, basically anything you can tell me based on your experiences. If anyone wants to offer me a job, that would help.
Many thanks in advance for any tips, help, warnings you can give.

The route you'll probably want to try is to get sponsored by an Australian company. This would be a lot easier if you make a trip to Australia to try and get some interviews and get a job offer.
