Hi
We are set to move to Melbourne at the end of this year.
Our 17 year old daughter did not complete high school in Scotland and therefore has limited qualifications.
We know she will need to study for exams if she wishes to enter college/ university.
Can anyone help with what she needs to do and recommend anywhere we could look at?
Thanks

Look at TAFE and aim for year 12 VCE courses. She won't get far without it or an overseas equivalent which it doesn't look as if she has.

Also, if she studies one year of anything at uni, it can automatically give her a higher entry score to get into those uni courses requiring higher entry scores. Also have a look at this link for info on uni pathways

Yes, there are options, particularly at TAFE as joeyballantyne said but not restricted to that. A number of teenagers out where I am drop out of high school on an annual basis, switch to a TAFE program and still get to university.

Thanks to you all for this information. I feel kinda overwhelmed with what's the best course of action for her.
So it seems she could forego acquiring the end of school certificate altogether?
Found this list of establishments on the Victoria website - anyone have any knowledge of which have good reputations? Any to avoid?
Australian Catholic University
Deakin University
La Trobe University
Monash University
Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT)
Swinburne University
Federation University Australia
The University of Melbourne
Victoria University

Why does she need to stay in Victoria?

OP is asking about universities, and it is highly unusual to limit university options to a particular state barring exceptional circumstance. If the daughter is going to go to university in Australia, all options relevant to the proposed course of study should be considered, not just Victorian ones.
