Default Advice flying with Joinery Tools

Hi there

Can anyone help? I am currently searching flights from UK to Adelaide and have found that flying with equipment such as golf, bikes etc is covered in special baggage sections on each website. Tools are not
Does anyone have any experience of taking joinery hand tools with them on a flight/putting them on cargo?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

As long as they go in the hold no probs, I am an aircraft mech, I fly all over the place with a toolbox, as long as it goes as checked baggage you will not have a problem, just make sure they are clean so you dont set off the "Organic" alarm bells when AQIS xray them on arrival
