Default Adelaide timescale expectations

Hi all,

Has anyone been through the approval process (independant skills) using the Adelaide office, and if so how long did each bit take?

We've got past the medicals and police checks and are waiting to hear back but our agency are unable to give us any expectation of an average response time. They have a few candidates at the same stage as us but evidently we're all still waiting.

Approval to med/PC took 2.5 months.

Any advice/guidance or comments/info would be warmy received.

Thanks,

MAX

I submitted Pol/Med on 3 June and just had a letter from DIMIA asking for the bond to be paid (I am skilled/sponsored). My agent reckons it'll just be a couple more weeks to get final approval

We submitted medicals and police forms at the end of May. We've not heard anything yet.

Hi!

We also have posted our Med/Pol abt. one and a half months back. But no reply yet.....

Does anybody know from where we can even get at least an indication of these time periods??

They do not want us to inquire too... right ?

Don't u think we are on pins ?

* I hear that it may be three months but no one has been able to confirm or deny - all replies however do seem to be currently within 3 months so maybe there's hope!!

*Oh yes. It's the not knowing one way or the other. At least if it's NO we can get on with our lives, if YES we can get on with our lives.......Well you know what I mean.

David,

The doctor sent our medicals and Xrays on.

We forwarded the police checks to our agency who sent them on.

Thanks,

MAX

No... Our medicals and the police reports were sent by the doctor and the department.

But ofcourse i'm an independent applicant and am not going thru an agent.

What do the agents say about the delays. I mean the reasons for the delay ???

This is really sickening to wait on the fence like this. Don't u agre ????

Look HIK, there are many people still waiting for their permanent skilled visas who applied to London before the end of October last year - many of whom have been waiting for a visa decision for well over a year.

The migration process is frustrating, particularly if you are a skilled applicant - I'm afraid you simply have to wait your turn.

Best regards.

Hik,

You really make me laugh. Try waiting for 12-20 months as some on the NG currently are.
