Default adelaide or perth????

we were wondering if anyone had any views / information on the best area between adelaide or perth, with regards to general nursing? I am a mom of three and my two youngest will be continuing school. I would like an area that would be suitable for my place of work in a hospital, with good schools close by. My husband has qualifications in bricklaying and mechanical engineering so this needs to be considered also. Any ideas or views would be much appreciated as we are finding the choice of areas bewildering. If anyone has information on any other suitable territory / region with the categories of preference mentioned I would be delighted to hear from you. Weather wise, I am at my best in a warmer climate, however not over poweringly hot....please remember we are used to englands climate lol.

Thank you Vicky x

mmmm....not Adelaide then, cold winters and staggeringly hot summers....Perth gets hot too though.....You may have to adjust to extreme weather!

Yeh Adelaide has winter maxs of about 15 - 20 and summer maxs of 45+ somedays.

perth is similar however in summer, although im not sure about winter, i think its a little warmer than Adel.

Adel is centrally located, so its fairly cheap to just jump on a plane to the East cxoast cities, whereas you wouldnt be able to just do a quick weekend trip from Perth

Have you posted on the nursing section for jobs in these areas?

We're off to Adelaide but have friends in Qld and Perth - all love where they live. Qld is very humid which is not for me.

There is demand for nurses all over Aus, as far as i am aware.

As other members said, QLD is a lot more humid than the southern states. Adelaide has a generally nice climate, but for a bout a month of the year its scorching hot. Same can be said for Perth.

Perth has a very dry heat and if you are within 20 mins of the coast (by car) you get a nice cooling breeze. In other words, 40 degrees in Perth feels a lot cooler than 30 degrees in Brisbane (due to their humidity).

All-year-round, Perth has more hours of sunshine than any other Australian capital city .

If you want to check the climate in different capital cities have a look here: www.bom.gov.au
