Post Adelaide

We are currently considering settlling in Adelaide and would appreciate any help/tips/advice about the areas.

We have 2 small children - 2 & 4 (well they will be by the time we get there)

Our priorities are:

Affordability
Schools
Distance to city
Distance to beach.

have looked at some real estate sights and Aldinga Beach and Hallett Cove seem to be very reasonable but we are guessing there is probably a good reason for that.

Yes there is. Aldinga Beach is pretty far from the city (about an hour's drive). Hallett Cove is fairly nice, but when we looked at it it wasn't our cup of tea. I prefered the northern suburbs, but that's just us.

Adelaide isnt very big city, might be better, If you find which area you will be working, & sort out accommodation accordingly, I live very close to the beach, but the area I live in is very expensive to buy, but almost reasonable to rent.
We are renting its got very good transport services, close to big shopping center.
Adelaide have loads nice areas, you can live in the hills, up north, down south, it really depends what you are into.
