Could be a bit of a long shot but I was wondering if any ex-NHS employees in Aus could recommend an Australian based accountant/IFA who understands the UK NHS pension scheme. I will be looking for some advice when I arrive in Aus in relation to this and in particular the pros and cons/detail of transferring an NHS pension into an Aussie superann plan.

Looking for someone in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or thereabouts. Cheers for any info

There is another person who posts on here (Alan Collett) who is an accountant/works for an accountancy firm that has offices both in uk and australia (offices in both melbourne and sydney i believe).

If you want advice on a pension scheme, then you need a financial adviser or financial planner. Not an accountant. Most accountants are not qualified to give financial advice and any reputable one would make this very clear.

I am just moving my local government pension over. If you need to talk to someone I can recommend my financial advisor. It's taken time to do but it is possible
