Accomodation first week - nr Tauranga
Hi me again! Asking a few different questions! Five weeks tomorrow we will be up up and away to New Zealand so trying to sort out some odds and sods!
Looking at booking some accomodation for a week for when we arrive in Tauranga. Hopefully will soon get a job and place to rent after that.....
Have spotted the Papomoa Beach Holiday Park - anyone stayed there? Or recommend anywhere else?
Was looking for something we its own cooking facilities etc and the lodges looked nice.
Have heard renting round those parts can be hard too but fingers crossed!

Hi there!!!
Im not at papamoa now but i will be soon. i was there in may for 2 weeks. i was luky i rented a house for that period which is rare but that came at a high price!!!
papamoa beach hoiday park is in the middle of papamoa i passed it everyday as i checked out the surfin conditions but i dont know anything about it. theres loads of places to stay, you could try the yelllow pages in tauranga as a start but im sure if you just turned up there you would find something.
mount maunganui would be you best bet but also the busyest and dearest.Tauranga city centre is only a 15min drive to papamoa so that would be a good idea.depending on how long you wanted to stay you could also try the real estate agents like papamoa realty or the professionals.

We're in Papamoa!
When we first arrived we stayed at the Beach House Motel in Papamoa http://www.beachhousemotel.co.nz/
They have reasonable rates if you're staying for a week.
