ABN application - how long?
Hi,
Has anyone recently applied for an ABN number online, as a sole trader, and could please tell me their timeline?
I applied for ABN number last week as a Sole Trader a week ago. In the end of the online application it stated that manual checks with ATO is necessary. Is 1-2 weeks time realistic until I would receive my ABN number?

When we did ours we got them the same day at the office, we went and did on line applications hung around a few mins and hey presto.

You can trade without the ABN, just wait until you get it to send invoices out

We then had to also get a joint ABN ( partnership) , When i completed it on line, it told me there were further checks needed, and they would be in touch. I received it a week later. We did all this 3mths ago.
