There is no such thing as a 7 seater with good boot space if 6 of the seats are going to be occupied. You will need to increase luggage space in other ways such as a roof pod or trailer.

We are family of 6, this is kids ranging from 15 to 3 years.

We got a Nissan Pathfinder 4WD and very happy with it. Plenty of space even for my 15year old who towers above his mum!

I know a family who have a KIA Carnival and they are pleased with this. They have 4 kids. Think the KIA Grand Carnival is the biggest version of this. Also is good price for a people carrier.

Chrysler Grand Voyager, though a bit greedy on the fuel.

Add to the suggestions above some decent, second-hand, Jap-built 7/8 seaters:

Toyota: Tarago, TownAce, HiAce, Spacia, Landcruiser.

Mitsubishi: Starwagon, Delica (4WD).

Here's my research on ALL 7 seaters available in Australia (about 1 year out of date but largely still relevant).

We bought the Pathfinder and it has masses of room behind the 3rd row of seats - more than some 5 seater cars have in total.

Take on board the details on paper but also remember its also about personal preference.

I love my Prado, Buzzy loves his pathfinder, I think its the SAF guy azulu likes his mitzi - all good cars and even some have raved about their hyundais.

My point is dont feel guilty for buying something othes dont like - its you that counts.

Just dont buy a holden commodore:sneaky:

There is KIA CARNIVAL...if I can find/add a link you will be amased...we were! We are a family of 6 (2 teens) and were gutted we overlooked this car as we had always struggled with boot space and had to add roof boxes etc.

Afternoon Keijei

I've been thinking about getting a Delica for a while, kills a couple of birds with one stone. Looking at probably an L300 (boxy) model moneywise. Without trawling through the delica site, anything specific to avoid or look out for?

cheers

Hi

We have a family of six and depending on your families ages and their needs, what travelling you want to do, we have had a Shogun (Pajero - Australia) and the Grand Voyager (great extra boot space and ability to remove the whole of the rear seating section and add roof rails) we had the diesel version and found this to be very good alround, but must ensure its the 'Grand' which gives the extra boot space !

Kind regards

Chris
