Default 457 visa to PR ????

Im going in june to cairns under girlfriends sponsorship. Im an electrician by trade currently filling out my ARTC. If after 6 months we decide to apply for PR what happens? Would i have to fill out a TRA even though id already be out there working? What is the process? Also once you have been given PR is it true if you have a house in the uk and you dont sell it within the first 6 months of PR been issued you are liable for tax??
Any help would be appreciated.

If you are the secondary PR applicant then you wouldn't need to do TRA for migration purposes, unless it was for a spouse visa and you needed spouse skill points.

But you will need to meet the requirements to work in your state/territory as an electrician, whether you are PR or not.

What you are talking about is an urban myth. But you do need to familiarise yourself with the Australian taxation rules for overseas income and capital gains, and how they impact Australian residents. Since 1 July 2006 there are some rules for temporary residents that cease to apply when you become PR.
