The mercury is nudging 48 degrees here at the moment. It's like walking through a furnace - dry heat too - no humidity at all to speak of. Our neighbour the fireman is round with mobile in hand in case of local bush fires and the police have staked out known firestarters houses. Still - it's a very pleasant 32 in the pool - and that's where I'm heading, right ****ing now.

Garden is loving this water. I'm loving the "normal" temperatures again, Probably back to circa 24 I would say. Just checked It's 17 apparently, feel heaps warmer than that.

Can start to do normal things again now, without feeling exhausted and copping eyes full of perspiration.

It has dropped here from 43 to 33 in the past couple of hours but we don't have any rain. The breeze has changed direction which means that the temperature has dropped but it still feels very warm, much higher than the 33 that the website says it is.
Oh for access to a pool
Nicky

Hi Nicky
I hope that you are not in direct threat with the bush fire! Thinking of you
I am so pleased to see that the one in Stawell is now under control. The rain couldn't have come at a better time for them. What a shame that 7 houses where lost on NYE.. Thank goodness that there were no casualties.
